Climbers
The same rules apply to climbers as to any shrub or tree. Positioning in the right place to suit a plants needs helps bring the best out of your chosen plant, be it for hiding that unsightly wall, shed, garage, brightening up a dull corner, over a pergola, entwined through a tree/shrub or even for ground cover.

Here at Lymefield we aim to supply the customer with as much choice as possible to suit theirs and the plants needs! Listed below is some information on some of the more popular and perhaps better known climbers?

Clematis
Best planted about an inch deep and with their roots in the shade, this can be achieved by putting pebbles or planting round the root system. This helps prevent clematis 'wilt'. This is where the plant appears to shrivel up and 'die' by cutting the 'dead' branches as far as possible the plant will re-emerge. Hybrid varieties are more prone, the quick growing Montana's and alpine varieties are least likely to be affected. Clematis needs some form of support. There are deciduous and evergreen varieties available. We have a large selection of clematis in stock.

Honeysuckles (lonicera)
Some varieties will grow happily in shade; most have a pleasant fragrance. Will need some support, there are deciduous and evergreen varieties available.

Other examples of climbers are;
Jasmine, Hydrangea, Virginia creeper/Boston ivy, Wisteria, Ivy Russian vine; (mile a minute!)
