Here at Lymefield we aim to stock a wide range of all types of roses in a comprehensive range of colours as well as selling a good selection of Old English and standard roses. If we have not got a particular variety in stock of your choice we will do our best to obtain that plant for you. Hybrids Best as specimen plants for that bright focal point all summer long. Blooms are of a good size and shape. Floribundas Provide a good array of colour all through the season. There reliability makes them an ideal choice for bedding displays. Patio & Miniature The compact forms of both these types make them excellent plants for pots and even rockeries. Ground Cover Spreading plants with good disease resistance and repeat flowering. Some types have a low growth habit whereas others can grow up to and over a metre tall. Climbers & Ramblers Both will need some support to encourage climbing and benefit form being planted slightly away from a wall or similar surface to allow air to circulate around the plants. Ramblers have more pliable stems and smaller flowers than climbers with their stiffer stems and larger blooms. Some types of climbers are repeat flowering. Shrub Shrub roses are hard to categorize being made up of an assortment of species roses, old fashioned, and modern types. Contrary to popular belief there are varieties of shrub roses that are repeat flowering and do not grow excessively tall. The flowering period of those that flower only once can last many weeks.
