In order to provide the ideal base for our home grown turf, we stock the finest quality Top Soil available. The loam-based mix is perfect for laying turf upon as it is has a slightly sand-like texture, ideal for allowing the turf to take hold as quickly as possible due to it’s fine grade, whilst also controlling drainage much better than an ordinary soil. We supply the top soil in bulk bags (pictured) which contain roughly a volume of around 900mm x 900mm x 900mm of soil.
This top soil is the first choice for landscapers in our area, as the quality is always the same, without any reclaimed materials and stored undercover so that it remains as dry as possible.
Although we can provide a recalaimed soil for the purpose of backfilling or raising levels, we would always recommend finishing off with one of our Grade 1 Top Soils, whether it be the Loam for turfing on to/seeding in to, or the Bedding Compost for planting in to.
